Question 1

Do you prepare permit drawings for projects in San Luis Obispo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We work on projects throughout San Luis Obispo County and its incorporated cities, including Pismo Beach, Arroyo Grande, City of San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, and Grover Beach. Each jurisdiction has its own submittal standards, and we format our drawing sets accordingly.

Question 2

Are you familiar with local submittal standards in San Luis Obispo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We frequently submit plans in SLO County and its cities. We have working relationships with local plan reviewers and stay current with each jurisdiction’s intake requirements, digital submittal formats, and typical correction items. That familiarity helps us produce first-submittals that move through review with fewer rounds of corrections.

Question 3

Do you know the local standards in San Luis Obispo?

Accepted Answer

Yes: each jurisdiction in the county has its own submittal checklist and its own habits, and we format sets accordingly. Establishing what a given lot will take is the designer's or planner's call; what we bring is a set drawn to the standard the reviewing department expects.

Question 4

Do you do ADUs in San Luis Obispo County?

Accepted Answer

Regularly: new builds and conversions across the county and its cities. State law sets the floor and several local jurisdictions layer their own standards on top. What usually decides an ADU in practice is the site: setbacks, slope, and where the existing services run. On a simple ADU the scope is often too limited to warrant a separate designer, and we handle the design as well as the drawings.

Question 5

Do you provide LiDAR scanning for projects in San Luis Obispo?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We bring our LiDAR scanning and drone equipment to sites throughout SLO County. Scans are especially valuable for remodel and addition projects in older communities like the City of San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, where original drawings may not exist or may not match what was actually built.

Question 6

Does the coastal zone affect projects in SLO County?

Accepted Answer

On the coastal communities it does, and it adds time to the approval path. We flag it and produce the drawings a submittal needs. The coastal application itself is run by your planner or designer. We are not coastal consultants.
